I use the Flex radios on MARS, which is channelized. It would be great if the ATU tuned up on the carrier frequency instead of in the middle of the passband. Sometimes, I tune to a MARS net late and need to turn on the ATU. If I press the ATU button, it tunes in the middle of the USB passband, which causes interference. (I think the offset is the CW sidetone offset.)
Guys with external ATUs switch to AM and tune up. With the flex, I can see the carrier when
they do it.
